A signet ring featuring a lovely garnet.

Geometric engravings are applied to the silver surface, and small garnets are set on the sides. The seamless design has no corners or irregularities, so it won't interfere with your work at hand.

There are very few scratches and signs of wear on the ring, but there is no noticeable damage. You can see the "SILVER" stamp on the inside.

I feel very attached to a vintage signet ring that someone once wore.Although it has a modest design, it has a cute presence as a functional identity ring or as a fashion ring.

[Garnet]

Birthstone: January (Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn guardian stone), January

The name "garnet" comes from the medieval Latin word granatus, which means "pomegranate" because of its red color.Garnet has been used as a gem and abrasive since the Bronze Age.The necklace, studded with red garnet, adorned the ancient Egyptian pharaoh and was also used in the ancient Roman signet ring. And Garnet's intaglio was preferred to stamp wax that protects important documents such as medieval clergy and aristocrats.

Garnet belongs to several groups of minerals.Five in particular (Pyrope (red), Almandine (purple), Spessartine (orange, yellow), Grossular (colorless to yellow), Andradite (yellow to green) are important characteristics of this gem, and strongly called tsabolite. It has a wide range of hues, including bright green.

The Smithsonian Institution's antique pyrope hair comb is one of the most famous pieces of garnet jewelery (the pyrope is from Pyrope, Greece, meaning "burning eyes").A large rose-cut garnet sits on top. This tiara-like jeweled pyrope garnet comes from a historic mine in Bohemia (now part of the Czech Republic), and these rich red aesthetics are the Victorian era in which this work was made. It was very popular in the morning (1-1837).
